What Are the Types of SSL Certificates Available at Gandi?

Gandi has three different SSL packages, which offer various levels of security and financial warranty.

  • Standard: These are ideal for securing an administration interface, a member’s-only space, an intranet, webmail. etc.

  • Pro: These are ideal for securing E-Commerce websites, or a customer account zone with sensitive data for example. These certificates add a financial warranty to your certification.

  • Business: These are ideal for securing a large and popular E-Commerce website, or one a site that handles highly sensitive data. These certificates offer the highest level of protection currently available in this type of certificate. You will need to provide some  legal documents:

Single Address

the smallest of the certificates and is ideal for protecting basic websites with no financial transactions.

Gandi includes a free, one-address, Standard SSL certificate for one year with the purchase or transfer of a domain name with Gandi the first year..

Single Address, Free for Web Hosting

When you subscribe to our Web Hosting offer at Gandi, you benefit from free SSL certificates, for each vhost (site) that is installed on our hosting platform as long as the Web Hosting is valid. However, you do not have access to the private key, and this certificate will only work on our Web Hosting platform.  

 

If you register your domain name with Gandi AND you host its website on our simple Hosting platform, we strongly advise you to use the automatic certificate with Web Hosting, which has the advantage of being renewed each year automatically.

secure a domain name and all its subdomains: *.example.com

 

Several different Addresses

There are four types of several address certificates:

up to 3 domains

up to 5 domains

up to 10 domains

up to 20 domains

Pro SSL Certificate

For companies only. And the company must be registered in the Dun & Bradsheet database. + Provide some legal documents:
