How to Renew an SSL Certificate
If your SSL certificate was generated automatically, we will generate the new CSR and private key and provide a new SSL certificate for you.
If your SSL certificate was generated manually: For security reasons it will be necessary to generate a new CSR for renewal. You will not be able to use the previously used CSR or its private key.

If you have purchased a multi-year certificate you do not need to renew your certificate until your full subscription has expired. Instead, follow the process for reissuing your certificate:
https://docs.gandi.net/en/ssl/description/multi_year.html#reissue-multiyear
You must renew your SSL certificate before its expiration date. It is not possible to renew a certificate after its expiration: pass an order for a new SSL certificate.
Note that the renewal takes effect starting from the current expiration date. You do not need to worry about losing the remaining time on your current certificate by renewing early. An SSL certificate can be renewed up to 30 days before its expiration date.
To renew:
- After logging in to your account, click “SSL Certificates” in the left menu.
- Click on the three dot icon to the far right of the SSL certificate you want to renew.
