How to delete a domain name

Gandi does not force you to renew your domains by default.

If you wish to delete your domain name, simply do not renew it. When a domain is not renewed, it is automatically deleted from the registry after various phases (depending on the extension in question). For a .com, for example, this period is 80 days after the domain expires. After a random period (known only to the registry) the domain will become available again for registration on a "first come, first served" basis.

If you need to delete your domain name before its expiration date (for example, for legal or urgent reasons), you will need to send us the early deletion form (and all necessary proof of identification, as indicated in the form's instructions). This form :
