Should I use Gandi's LiveDNS?
We recommend that you use Gandi's LiveDNS. If you don't, the interface will ask you to do so, and will help ensure that the necessary records are present for your web forwarding to function properly.
How long does it take for the changes to take effect?
It all depends. When you create a web forwarding, we update your DNS records for you (provided your domain uses LiveDNS). Due to technical limitations beyond our control, DNS record updates can take several hours to propagate worldwide. Your web forwarding won't work properly until this propagation is complete.
On the other hand, if you modify an existing Web forwarding (such as those set by default when a domain is created to the Gandi Parking page), the DNS records remain unchanged and the forwarding is set up in around 20 minutes.
