Difference between "Account" and "Organization”

The username allows you to log in to the administration interface

IMPORTANT: this username must be unique in our system. The "Account" allows you to manage your password, your additional security features (TOTP, security keys, IP restriction, etc...), your method of recovering access to your account should you forget your login or password, and "external" access to other applications that use Gandi's credentials, including your own applications, if you have any.

Gandi allows you, via a single account, to create several "profiles" allowing you to manage your products as needed, and even to manage products for other people.

The key to this management is the concept of Organizations. Each Gandi account includes a personal organization, which represents you as an individual. For simplicity's sake, the name of this personal organization is identical to your Gandi handle.

To this personal organization, you can add one or more "professional" organizations to manage your company, association, etc.
