Activating a Company type account (or equivalent)
How to activate your company type account on Gandi's new interface
Also called "Classic account migration" : https://migrate.gandi.net/fr/login
You can also find a step-by-step guide:
https://docs.gandi.net/fr/compte_utilisateur/aide_interactive_migration/index.html
1. Indicate which account to activate
On the account activation page, you'll need to enter your "classic" login (in AB1234-GANDI format) and password. If the password is incorrect, you won't be able to initiate this process. In this case, please contact support: support-en@support.gandi.net
Once you've logged in, click on the "Start procedure" button to go on to the next step.
2. User account and organization
When you activate an account for a company, association or public body, there are two steps to follow:
1. Create your personal account
You will now personalize your v5 login.
- Choose a login : You are free to choose the username of your choice, as long as it's not already taken, and only uses letters, numbers and the "_" character. This means it can't be an email address or your old handle. This new username will be used to log in to the new Gandiv5 site.
- Choose a password: You'll need to choose a password. This will not change the password of your "classic" login (the one with the AB1234-GANDI format). This password will only be used to log on to the V5 site.
- Email address: You can leave the address as it is, or choose a new one for your personal account on the new site. If you change it, your "classic" login will remain unchanged.
2. Create an "Organization" for the owner
Gandi V5 manages your personal account (the username you use to log into the site) and the company(ies)/association(s)/public body(ies) that own(s) products under your "classic" account, separately. This "personal" username allows you to manage products that you purchase in your own name, and allows Gandi to record legal information regarding the username owner (for account recovery, for example).
To this end, you will be asked to choose an "organization" name for the owner of these products. This name will only be used to keep track of the group of products managed by this company/association/public organization in your interface, and you can change it later if you wish. This does not change the products' ownership, which remains the same. It's simply a "display" name on your user interface.
