How to create an organization

If you wish to purchase Gandi products for a legal entity (company, association or public body, etc.) so that it is this entity which is billed, you must create an organization to represent it, or use an existing one.

Creation interface

There are three places from which you can create an organization:

• From the organization menu: Use "Organizations" in the left-hand navigation menu, and choose "Create".
• From the "shopping cart": When you click on the "shopping cart" icon (top right), the first step is to choose a billing address. You can then choose an existing organization or create a new one before moving on to the next step.
• In the shopping cart: once on the order summary page, you can still edit the Billing address by choosing another existing organization or creating a new one.

Attention

The organization you create will be the owner of the domains you purchase for it, and will appear on invoices. It must be a real company, association or public body for which you have the (legal) rights to purchase products from Gandi.

The information requested on the interface is the usual contact information, but you must be careful not to confuse two fields:

• "Display name": This is just the name of the organization that we display (in the menus, for example). This name can be modified at any time.

"Legal name": This is the legally registered name of your company, association or public body. It cannot be modified and must correspond to the legal documents of your company/association/public body.
