Moving an organization to a different Personal (user) account
Occasionally, you may need to "move" an organization, i.e. link it to another username (if the person managing the organization leaves the company, etc.). This can be accomplished by changing the members of the “Owner” team in the organization.
To change the personal account managing the organization
- Click on "Organizations" in the left-hand menu
- Select the organization in question
- Scroll down and click on "Manage your teams" or use the tab at the top of the page.
- Click on the "Owner" team
Basically, there should only be the username of the person who created the organization. Invite the "new" owner by providing their username or contact email address.
Once the new owner has been added (see "Teams" documentation), they can delete the old owner from the team. Or the new owner can leave the organization from his or her account.
Important
The new owner of this organization must log in with their user name before accepting the invitation.
