Technical limitations

What are the limitations of Gandi's email service?

• Maximum number of mailboxes: 1000
• Maximum number of email forwarding addresses: unlimited
• Maximum number of recipients per message: 40
• Maximum number of recipients per message using Gandi webmail: 15
• Number of mail aliases: unlimited
• Mail quota: 10 GB per box (standard boxes), and 50 GB (Premium boxes)
• Out-of-Office Auto-Reply: replies are sent automatically once a day to each recipient's email address. An "extended absence" option is also available in Sogo.
• Password minimum length: 8 characters (including at least 2 digits and at least 2 special characters) or more than 16 characters
• Maximum password length: 200 characters
• Maximum email size (attachments): 25 MB, whether POP/IMAP (if someone sends you a message exceeding this size, you won't receive it, and the sender will get a specific error message).
• Mailbox storage space exceeded alerts: these are sent to the domain's technical contact or reseller when the quota exceeds 95%.

Warning

The Gandi's email service is designed to ensure standard use of a mailbox. Any use outside this scope (particularly for mass emailing) may result in suspension of the mailbox in question.

Important

GandiMail doesn't support the creation of subdomain email addresses. You will therefore not be able to create email addresses such as name@mail.example.com.
