Activate two-factor authentication
How to enable two-factor authentication on SOGo
This page explains how to use 2FA (two-factor authentication) on Gandi's SOGo webmail.
For more information on how to secure your Gandi email addresses, please refer to this page:
https://docs.gandi.net/en/gandimail/common_operations/manage_2fa.html
To activate 2FA on SOGo, follow these instructions:
- Make sure you have installed a 2FA application on a device (usually a smartphone) that will serve as your 2FA "key".
- Log in to the SOGo interface using the email address and password you wish to secure (remember, these are not your Gandi account login details). If you have forgotten your email password, you can reset it from the Gandi interface.
- Click on "Preferences" ("⚙" icon) next to the email address displayed in the top left-hand block.
- In the *General section, check the "Enable two-factor authentication using Google Authenticator" box at the bottom of the page.
- Click on the green " Floppy disk " icon at the top to save. This will display the QR code you need to scan in your 2FA application on your device.
