Adding a signature to your Emails
Add a signature to your emails
How to add a signature to your emails in SOGo webmail
You can automatically add a signature to all emails sent via SOGo and it will appear at the bottom of the message. You can also create different "identities" and switch between them as needed, while choosing one of them as your default identity. Each identity allows you to save a name, an email address, a reply email address and a signature.
- Go to SOGo Webmail (https://webmail.gandi.net/SOGo/) and log in to the mailbox in question (remember, the login is your full email address and its password).
- Open your mailbox "preferences" menu by clicking on the "gear (⚙)" icon at top left, next to your "avatar".
- Select " Email " in the navigation menu (left)
- Click on "IMAP Account" in the menu at the top of this window.
- Click on the pencil icon () to the right of the address.
- In the window that opens, make sure you're under "Settings".
- You'll see an "Identities" block with the default (red heart ( ♥️ )) email address in question.
- To create a new identity, click on "New identity".
- Enter your details and click "OK" at the bottom.
- IMPORTANT! To return to the IMAP accounts page, click on the green floppy disk icon (💾) to save your changes ( otherwise they will be lost).
Note
You must click on the green floppy disk icon (💾) after closing the dialog box if you want to save your changes.
Switching between identities
You can toggle between the different existing identities, directly in the email composition window. In the message composition window :
- Click on the green, round plus sign (+) to compose a new email.
- At the very top of the window, you'll see a lighter field with the sender's details.
- Click on the (X) on the right to open the drop-down menu with your identities.
- Select your chosen identity.
- Complete your email and send it.
Note
Each email will automatically be written with the default identity (red heart (♥️)) chosen in the identities list. To choose another "default" one, simply click on the "empty" heart (♡) to the right of the new one.
